Blurring Realities

In the outback, bordering the Gibson Desert

Before leaving QUT, I undertook a practice-based research project to assess my progress and skills in ICVFX with the LED Volume over the past year. Unlike previous projects, I managed and executed this project mostly independently, seeking supervisor feedback.

The project examined my ability to integrate physical sets with the digital landscape to enhance realism and performance. Being on the digital side the thesis was if I experment with the physical side I can expand my understanding to work more effiently with the filmakers.

The filming took the form of a mock advertisement for Specsavers, in which I mistakenly input the wrong address into the GPS, leading me to the Gibson Desert.
